Commissioner Adam Putnam Appoints Gloria Pugh to Florida Consumers’ Council

Gloria Pugh, CEO of AMWAT Moving Warehousing & Storage, has been appointed to the Florida Consumers’ Council by Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam.  The group represents businesses and consumers interests. Its main purpose is to advise and assist the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in carrying out its consumer services programs.

“With the appointment of new members to the council, Commissioner Putnam has restructured the council to represent both businesses and consumers and has renewed its purpose to focus on meeting the needs of Florida’s nearly 20 million consumers.”

This position is especially important to Pugh because of her efforts against rogue movers. She’s written countless articles in order to educate consumers about moving fraud. “Consumer shouldn’t be subjected to fraudulent practices in the marketplace,” said Pugh. “I feel privileged to serve on this council.”
