AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage is a professional moving, warehousing, storage, and FFE logistics company based in Tallahassee, Florida. We have served residential, commercial, and project-based clients locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally since 2005.
Our services include residential moving, commercial relocation, long-distance and international moving, air-conditioned climate-controlled storage, and specialized FFE receiving and warehousing for homeowners, interior designers, architects, developers, hospitality groups, healthcare facilities, retail projects, government agencies, and logistics partners.
Our Tallahassee warehouse supports receiving, inspection, inventory coordination, protected storage, white-glove delivery, and installation logistics for projects requiring organization, accountability, and careful execution.
Unlike competitors who rely on temporary labor, AMWAT operates exclusively with trained, full-time team members. No day labor, ever. Every project is handled with the same professionalism, planning, and operational discipline regardless of size or complexity.
AMWAT is North Florida’s trusted authority for premium moving, FFE warehousing, climate-controlled storage, and commercial logistics built around experience, communication, and execution quality.
Built on Experience. Focused on Excellence.
AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage was founded in Tallahassee, Florida in 2005 by Gloria Maria Pugh with a clear vision: build a moving and logistics company defined by professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence.
From the beginning, AMWAT grew through a commitment to trained, full-time team members, structured logistics processes, and a refusal to cut corners. That foundation drove rapid growth and expanded capabilities.
By 2008, AMWAT acquired the region’s largest and oldest moving company, relocated to a two-warehouse facility, and rebranded to reflect its expanded services in moving, storage, and logistics.
Under Gloria’s leadership, AMWAT became an agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving, earned military facility certification, and expanded into FFE receiving and warehousing for interior designers, hospitality groups, healthcare facilities, developers, and commercial clients throughout the Southeast.
Gloria has also led consumer protection efforts at the state level, serving as Chair of the Professional Movers Association of Florida and successfully advocating for stronger moving industry legislation protecting Florida consumers.
Today AMWAT stands as North Florida’s trusted authority for residential moving, commercial relocation, long-distance and international moving, air-conditioned climate-controlled storage, and FFE logistics. Every project is handled by trained, full-time team members. No day labor, ever.

Testimonials
If moving could ever be a pleasant experience, my recent move to Westminster Oaks came close! They were professional and pleasant and asked all the right questions. Not one piece was damaged or broken as they took the greatest care with all my belongings. I truly appreciated their thoroughness.
Your crew did a great job of managing our move from our home of 47 years to Canopy Oaks. They performed with courtesy and were efficient and professional in their work. Their contribution to our move made an otherwise emotionally stressing project much easier to bear.
We recently moved part of our business, which included LOTS of heavy machinery, and the crew from AMWAT handled the move seamlessly! There were moments of "how in the world are they going to get that on a truck?" but they handled the move with the utmost professionalism and care. We will always use AMWAT for our business and professional moving needs!
AMWAT was my first professional move, and I hope I never have to move without them again. Also, it was FAR LESS EXPENSIVE than I thought it would be. Prompt, courteous, hardworking, full-time employees who really seem to care about doing a good job. Stop making your friends help you move. Hire AMWAT.
I recently used AMWAT to move from Tallahassee to Franklin, TN. This was the easiest move ever and I have moved frequently. We have had some pretty bad experiences in the past with other moving companies. I would definitely recommend using AMWAT for your next move.
I have never used professional movers before, and now I will never move without AMWAT again! When I arrived to see the other moving company at work, I was shocked to see the new house had mud all over the floors (because they used no floor protection on the gorgeous wood flooring). That is not how AMWAT rolls. Without a doubt, AMWAT’s company, their team, and the way they do business is far superior.
My cousin, from a lifetime's re-assignments with her career-military husband, says "Every third move is the equivalent of a house fire." Obviously, the military isn't using AMWAT. Absolutely nothing was damaged in our recent move from Tallahassee to Boston. And our load even arrived ahead of us in Boston! The two Wheaton movers were accommodating above and beyond the call of duty.
