Choose AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage—Tallahassee’s trusted partner for moving, warehousing, and logistics solutions.

AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage began in 1997 as a humble one-man operation, A Man With A Truck. Founder Dean Pugh started from his spare bedroom, executing local moves with just a pick-up truck and trailer. What began as a simple moving service quickly grew, and soon AMWAT moved into a warehouse, acquired three moving trucks, and expanded to six employees.

In 2005, Gloria Pugh joined the company, bringing a fresh vision and drive that sparked rapid growth. The company obtained interstate moving authority from the United States Department of Transportation, broadening its reach beyond state lines. By 2008, AMWAT acquired the area’s largest and oldest moving company, relocated to a two-warehouse facility, and rebranded to AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage to reflect its expanded services. The company then became an agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving and earned military facility certification.

Today, AMWAT stands as a comprehensive transportation, logistics, warehousing, and storage provider. From residential and commercial goods to art exhibits and scientific equipment, AMWAT can safely move nearly any commodity, excluding hazardous materials—anywhere in the world.

As a trusted, single-source solution for all your moving, storage, and warehousing needs, AMWAT is here to make any transition seamless and stress-free. When you need a partner who can move your world, choose AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage.

AMWAT Moving is led by a dedicated and community-focused team: CEO Gloria Pugh and COO Dean Pugh. Together, they bring expertise and commitment to moving and warehousing, guiding a team of highly trained professionals known for excellence.

Gloria and Dean are deeply involved in the Tallahassee community and industry associations. Gloria serves as President of the Professional Movers Association of Florida—the first woman to lead since its founding in 1979—and both are active in the American Trucking Associations Moving and Storage Conference. Beyond their roles at AMWAT, they support various boards and community organizations, including Second Harvest of the Big Bend, ECHO, The Junior League of Tallahassee, Lemoyne Art, and other nonprofits focused on poverty, education, and the arts.
