AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage, agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving shows its continued support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In partnership with our local newspaper, the Tallahassee Democrat’s effort to paint the town pink, AMWAT decked its facility and employees in NFL PINK to bring awareness to breast cancer. We are more than just a company who provides moving, storage and warehousing services. We are a family operated small business who cares about our employees, clients and community. As a small business, we feel it is our responsibility to bring awareness to issues that impact our employees, clients and community. Breast cancer is a decease that impacts way too many people and if detected early can be successfully treated. Although breast cancer is not the most common cause of death among women, it is still a painful and challenging journey to take both physically and emotionally.
AMWAT proudly displayed its PINK PRIDE to bring awareness to those who came into contact with our employees or facility. During the month of October many of our walk-in customers asked about the pink décor to which we responded “breast cancer awareness”. Awareness is having or showing realization, perception, or knowledge. AMWAT’s individual display of pink was a small effort however, when the community collectively, “painted the town pink” the combined effort made a large impact that hopefully encouraged individuals to check their breast by self-examination and/or mammograms.
